Say your prayers and take your vitamins cause we’re talking muscle cars today boys and girls and we’re hulking up to do it. What makes a muscle car to you? Is it the loud exhaust or the roar of the engine? Or is it just the stocky low appearance and the fresh new paint of these rides that makes your act like Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor.

People think that if they put a set of glass packs on their ride it’ll be “cool” and they’ll tell their friends to not mind the rust and dents all over the car. This is a big “no no!” Your car certainly has to be loud but just adding the glass packs to the end of our exhaust it NOT the way to go. If your really going to do it right you need to start from the header and then go back to the tailpipe. Eldabrock, JBA and or course flow-tech. Are the best brands to use.

If you think that just adding 15-20 hp to your ride will give it the title of a muscle car your sadly mistaken. You have the look too. Some people as I’m sure you’ve seen think that a maaco paint job doesn’t do anything for your car other than trash it. Take the time and spend the jack to get a real good job done at a local shop where you can see some prior work they’ve done and then ask them for phone numbers of the people they have done work before in the past so you can make a trip out to their place to see their cars and to talk to them. Cause like anything this is your investment and you don’t want to just let anyone control the situation. For example, you wouldn’t let the guy you pass on the freeway holding the sign saying will work for food with a rotten milk breath manage your 401k account or your portfolio would you? I didn’t think so! So after you talk to those people go and get your paint done and don’t make exceptions people. And when it comes to the colors don’t let ANYONE but you pick them out. I have talk to people who let their wives or their girlfriends pick out the colors before hand just to make them feel special and they sell the car soon afterwards cause either they divorce the wife, break-up with the girlfriend and the car just reminds them of how they controlled their lives while they were together. Or the last one they just don’t have good taste when it comes to cars. They can desgin a living room but when it comes to what color to powder coat the frame look out!

And last but not least…….rims! Once again this is the prime time for you to do your homework and put thought into getting your rims for your ride. Don’t go to NTB or Conrads or anywhere that sells oil changes with their rims. You need to buy them from either out of a book or but them from a place that just specializes in them. Though I haven’t seen it I’m still young so I’m sure I’ll see someone driving around my town in a nice ride with some Auto Zone rims. Laugh now I know but you’ll see it too. Put the money into good rims wrapped in some nice rubber. Foose, Boyd Coddington, Rozzi, or my favorite, D’vinci Wheels. All there very nice and you should check them all out at their respective websites. Thats all we have time for now but another one’s just around the corner!
