Horsepower, torque and fuel

American Car Freak

What kind of car are you?

In society your car is a representation of your personality. There are two cars of car people which one are you? Some of you wash your car every week and check the fluids under the hood. Waxing the car every third month of the year and Armor Alling the inside is like waking up in the morning and brushing your teeth. Always pulling in the garage until the tennis ball hanging from your ceiling hits your windshield.

Then there’s the roughneck type that haven’t washed your car in the past year. Your dash looks like a Christmas tree with all sorts of lights on for all sorts of different reasons. And if a friend wants to sit down somewhere in your car you have to put on a bio hazard suit to move stuff out of the way including Tupperware container from 2 months ago when you took that egg sandwich to work and forgot about it back there. Around your cigarette lighter it looks like a war zone of nothing but old butts and ashes packed into the tray looking like your building a dam in your ashtray. And lets not forget about the ice cold, rock hard french fries, and loose change that is laying on your floor mats and under your seats. You probably have enough change laying on your floor to buy you another large fry.

Now that we have talked about the two types of people, now lets talk about the types of cars those people drive. The people who drive the nice clean cars that still have that show room finish are viewed as the types of people who drive the cool cars. They have the sound systems and they have to big chrome wheels that you can almost see yourselves in. They are also more likely to drive the smart cars or the hybrid cars that are getting seen more and more out on the roadways. They feel like they are making a difference and want to improve their surroundings.

Unlike their counter parts the “carefree” drivers don’t care about improving anything but the distance that they get from point A to point B. “Carefrees” usually buy a car from a used car lot for a few grand and don’t care about the color nor the options as long as it has a working stereo so they can blow the factory speakers quicker than guys on crotch rockets get away from cops.

I’m not trying to attack either one cause quite frankly I’m in the middle. I take care of my cars yet in the same aspect it’s a car unless, it’s a classic car or a muscle car they’re made to be driven so I do just that I drive’em.
